- OBDII Port Check: Locate port. Ensure pins are not damaged.
- System Scan: Connect Diagnostic Scanner. Scan all modules (Engine, ABS, SRS/Airbag, BCM).
- Dashboard Indicators: Verify “Check Engine,” “ABS,” and “Airbag” lights turn on at ignition (bulb check) and turn off after start.
- Record Codes: List any Active or Pending DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes)
Goal: For vehicles driving on rough roads or reporting noise/vibration.

- Shock Absorbers/Struts: Inspect for oil leaks on housing. Perform “bounce test”.
- Ball Joints: Check for vertical/horizontal play in lower/upper ball joints.
- Tie Rod Ends: Check Outer and Inner tie rods for play (3-9 o’clock wheel shake).
- Control Arm Bushings: Inspect rubber bushings for tearing, cracking, or separation.
- Sway Bar Links & Bushings: Check for loose nuts or missing rubber grommets.
- CV Axles & Boots: Inspect CV boots for tears and grease leakage.
- Wheel Bearings: Rotate wheels while lifted; listen for grinding/growling. Check for play.
Goal: Quick safety and fluid check. Ideal for “while-you-wait” services.

- Engine Oil: Check level and condition
- Coolant: Check Reservoir and Radiator levels. Check for visible leaks.
- Brake Fluid: Check level in reservoir and fluid color
- Power Steering Fluid: Check level and inspect for burnt smell
- Transmission Fluid: Check dipstick level (if equipped) and color/smell
- Windshield & Wipers: Check washer fluid level. Inspect wiper blades for tearing.
- Battery: Check terminal tightness and corrosion. Perform 12V Load Test.
- Air Filter: Remove and inspect engine air filter.
- Belts & Hoses: Inspect Serpentine belt for cracks/fraying. Check radiator hoses for crunchiness/softness
- Tires: Check pressure on all 4 tires + Spare. Measure tread depth.
